Sew Trendy® Policies 



The use of photos from our photographers and clients for commercial use is prohibited unless authorized by the owner of the company AND the photographer. These sessions are provided exclusively for Sew Trendy™. This includes dresses for hire and distributing companies. These companies are required to set up their own photo sessions with the gowns for their marketing purposes. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of any partnership and possible legal action. 



All payments are due when placing your order, including wholesale orders. Sew Trendy accepts most major forms of payment. 



Because our items are made to order in house promptly after orders are placed, we do not accept cancellations. 

If a cancellations must be made, it will be treated as a return and is subject to a 30% restocking fee if a refund to the original payment method is requested, or free if the client wishes to receive in store credit via gift card. Please see ineligible items in the returns section below. Presale offers are excluded from cancellations. 




Only one discount code is valid per purchase. This includes either a sale discount OR VIP tier discount. Discount codes can, however, be combined with store markdowns and the free shipping offer of orders over $399US. 

Custom gowns (gowns offered with customizations not available on the standard gown listing, i.e. sleeve add ons, custom lengths, custom tops, etc) are not eligible for website sales and discounts. The only discount that may be applied on custom gowns is the VIP tier discount for Sapphire through Platinum Levels. 

Sew Trendy So You Studio Subscription Boxes and limited run boxes are ineligible from store discounts, and VIP tier discounts. If ordered with a discount, the system will place the order on hold until full payment is made.

It is important to note that Processing Time and Shipping Time are two very different things.



You will find different processing times in our store, depending on the item, and the amount of time it takes for us to make it for you.  Our processing times vary from 7 business days to 12 weeks.  If you are on a short timeline, we do offer rush processing options. Please contact us directly for this option. 



With the Rush Processing option, you can pay a fee to have your item made faster, if you are soon approaching your deadline.  The processing time is adjusted down to 7-10 business days (depending on the item and current production load), and covers the cost of the seamstress to complete the item weeks ahead of schedule.  This is in no way related to Shipping or Rush Shipping...only Processing of the item.  Shipping costs are in addition to the rush processing fee. Please note that holidays are not included in the 7 business days as our office and production staff are off to be with their families, and the company will be closed.  Please plan accordingly!  Rush processing fees are non-refundable.



If you are ordering RTS (ready to ship) AND Standard or Rush processing items in the same order, all items will ship together when the made to order gowns are complete unless requested otherwise. FREE SHIPPING RATES - US orders will ship via USPS Priority mail 2-3 days, 2 Day Fedex, or FedEx home delivery depending on the rate to your location.

International orders will ship either USPS First Class, USPS Priority, or Fedex, and can take approx 6-10 business days to arrive (not including customs hold times). This is an approximate, we have no control over international delays and can take up to 30 days in some countries. Sew Trendy is not responsible for delays caused by weather,  natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or customs issues.  Duties/Taxes are the responsibility of the customer, and are not included in our shipping rates.

STANDARD SHIPPING RATES - If the Free Shipping threshold is not met, standard shipping options are available for an additional cost and is auto calculated in your cart based on the package size, weight, and location. Tracking and insurance is always included on Sew Trendy packages.

Once your package has left our facility, it is out of our hands and in the hands of the carrier.  Unfortunately we do not have control over what the carrier does with your package.  All claims for packages must go through the carrier chosen during checkout. Please see below for information on late packages. There may be situations in which USPS priority mail was selected, and due to sever delays with the post office, we may bump the order up to 2 day Fedex to ensure a timely delivery, at no cost to the customer.



In some cases, there will be VAT or other taxes, customs duties or fees levied by your destination country. Additional charges for taxes or customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.  Customs and taxation policies vary widely from country to country.  You should contact your local customs office for further information. **When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.**

We are unable to list items as a gift, or write an amount lower than the actual product price on customs forms as it is illegal. If you wish to have the boxes broken up into multiple shipments to avoid customs fees, additional charges will apply.



If you wish to return or exchange your gown, a return request must be submitted within 30 days of delivery. When/if the return is approved, your confirmation email must be printed, filled out, and returned with the item(s). Items sent to us without the form will be sent back to the clientWe must receive the return tracking shipping number within 7 business days. The return tracking information can be placed in the tracking button at the bottom of your return approval email.

To be eligible for an exchange or return, the item must not be included in the ineligible item list below; it must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with no stains or alterations. In addition, be mindful of makeup, deodorant, pet hair, and strong smells (smoke, perfume, etc.), as these can make your item ineligible for return. IF the item is received and is not-accepted for any of the above reasons, Sew Trendy will return the item back to you at no cost. If the item is received and accepted, Sew Trendy will work with you to continue processing your refund via the payment method chosen, or exchange for new items per your request. You will receive an email with the decision and next steps.

  • For refunds via original payment method, a 30% Restocking fee will be assessed to re-stock the item. This is of the item cost only and does not include shipping or rush fees.
  • NO CHARGE for items returned for in store credit.
  • NO CHARGE for exchanges 
  • Exchanges can be made for the same item purchased in a different size or color. If a different item is desired, a store gift card will be issued for the client to purchase items as desired.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Rush fees are non-refundable
  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges
  • Standard processing time for exchanges is 7 business days from the business day after the return arrives at our warehouse. We may be able to make an exception, please submit the request anyway and we will do our best to assist.  Please note gowns with a processing time of longer than 3 weeks or marked as no rush available will require the full processing time stated on the listing.     If you wish to return your item and be refunded back via the original payment method, a 30% restocking fee will be deducted from the item total, this includes Ready to Ship items as well. The remaining balance will be sent back via the same method of payment used when ordering after the item has been received, inspected, and accepted. After the item has been accepted, the refund will be sent within 3 business days. We are not responsible for delays made by the bank in depositing your funds.

    If you wish to return the item for in store credit NO Restocking fee will be assessed and you can use the credit at any time in the within 12 months from issue date. A gift card will be issued via email within 3 business days of the item being received, inspected, and accepted.

    The client is responsible for shipping the item back to our warehouse. Shipping and Rush Processing Fees are non-refundable. If you choose to exchange, no restocking fee will be assessed.



    After submitting a request, and receiving confirmation from Sew Trendy that the exchange is approved, the client is responsible for the shipping cost to return the gown to our warehouse.

    We allow one exchange per order with no additional processing fees and a 7 business day processing time. We will cover the shipping cost back to the client on the first exchange as a courtesy.  Additional exchanges are subject to our standard processing time of 3 weeks unless the rush processing fee is purchased.

    Return shipping costs will be invoiced for additional exchanges after the initial exchange based on the weight and size of the items (sent priority mail).  If you need faster shipping/processing, please let us know in advance (additional fees may apply).

    The client may exchange their product the same item in a different color it size. If a different item or style is desired, we will be provide a gift card to the client's email within 3 business days to purchase any item as desired.



    What do I do if the item I received is incorrect or damaged?

    • Buyer must submit a return request within 24 hours if there is a problem with the product(s) quality (i.e. spots on the fabric or other physical damage missed in our quality inspection) or you received the incorrect item
    • In the return reason, select damaged or incorrect item received; and do this within 24 hours of delivery of item or it is ineligible
    • Include a description of the problem and your event date in the body of the email
    • Email photos of the damage or incorrect item immediately to with the order number in the subject line.
    • When the request and photos are received, and the issue is determined to be our mistake or damaged in transit, Sew Trendy will cover the shipping back to our warehouse and work with you to get a new item out before the event (if the time frame allows)
    • If the damage is determined to be the fault of the buyer, Sew Trendy will cover the shipping costs to send the item back to you after inspection.
    • IF the damage can not be determined digitally, we will request the buyer to send the item(s) back to us to visibly inspect it and work with the customer to resolve the issue per the guidelines above.



    If your package does not arrive on time DUE TO OUR ERROR (i.e. it shipped late, or incorrect shipping method), Sew Trendy will refund your purchase after the items are sent back, received in by our warehouse, and inspected. A request must be submitted via the return/exchanges link within 7 business days of delivery. If the item is lost by USPS (NO DELIVERED STATUS) and is not delivered after 7 days of opening a case with USPS, we will refund the purchase and continue the investigation. If the package is showing delivered and the address was correct, and you do not have your item, it is the responsibility of the buyer to contact USPS to file a claim as it is then considered a stolen package. Please keep in mind that once the packages are dropped at the post office, they are out of our hands, please plan ahead!
