Photo Use

The use of photos from our photographers and clients for commercial use is prohibited unless authorized by the owner of the company AND the photographer. These sessions are provided exclusively for Sew Trendy™. This includes dresses for hire and distributing companies. These companies are required to set up their own photo sessions with the gowns for their marketing purposes. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of any partnership and possible legal action. 

Commercial Use

It is against our policies for clients or anyone to use our gowns for commercial resale (personal resale is fine), gown rental companies, patterns, or any other commercial use without direct permission from our owner.  For further information, please contact tara.sewtrendy@gmail.com.

 Payment

All payments are due when placing your order, including wholesale orders. Sew Trendy accepts most major forms of payments. 

Cancellation

To cancel an order, the client must email our service department at sewtrendycustomerservice@gmail.com within 24 hours of delivery. RTS purchases are not eligible for cancellation as they are pulled immediately for shipping. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Cancellations made after the 24 hour deadline will be treated as a return and are subject to a 30% restocking fee if a refund to the original payment method is requested, or free if the client wishes to receive in store credit via gift card. Please see ineligible items in the returns section below.

Processing Time

Standard processing time for most made to order items is 3 weeks. Separates and some other items are marked as 7 business days, couture items can be up to 10 weeks. Please read the item descriptions. RTS items will ship within 1-3 business days.

RUSH PROCESSING FEE | Processing time is 7 business days, and covers the cost of the seamstress/crafter to complete the item(s) weeks ahead of schedule.  If you need to rush more than one item, you will have multiple rush processing fees.  Shipping costs are in addition to the rush processing fee. Please note that weekends and holidays are not included in the 7 business day processing times, as our staff and production teams are home with their families.  Please plan accordingly. Rush processing fees are non-refundable.

PLEASE NOTE | If you are ordering RTS (ready to ship) AND Standard or Rush processing items in the same order, all items will ship together when the made to order gowns are complete unless requested otherwise. Additional shipping charges may apply if you choose to have RTS items shipped separately. Please contact us with any questions at sewtrendycustomerservice@gmail.com.

Shipping

All orders are shipped in the Domestic US are sent via USPS Priority Mail and take approx. 2-3 days to arrive. International packages are sent via USPS First Class mail and take approx. 6-14 days to arrive. This is an approximate, we have no control over international delays and can take up to 30 days in some countries. Sew Trendy is not responsible for delays caused by weather,  natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or customs issues.  

Once your package has left our facility, it is out of our hands and in the hands of the carrier.  Unfortunately we do not have control over what the carrier does with your package.  All claims for packages must go through the carrier chosen during checkout. Please see below for information on late packages.

EXPRESS SHIPPING FEE | Express shipping is an add-on option to cover the remaining cost to express the package to you. This is in addition to the shipping cost in your cart. US orders are shipped via USPS Express and take 1-2 days to arrive.  International orders are sent via the Global Express partnership with USPS and Fedex (Usps in the states then transfers to fedex in your country) and take 1-3 business days to arrive, depending on your country. 

Customs - International Orders |  In some cases, there will be VAT or other taxes, customs duties or fees levied by your destination country. Additional charges for taxes or customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.  Customs and taxation policies vary widely from country to country.  You should contact your local customs office for further information. **When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.**
We are unable to list items as a gift, or write an amount lower than the actual product price on customs forms as it is illegal. If you wish to have the boxes broken up into multiple shipments to avoid customs fees, additional charges will apply.

Returns and Exchanges

Returns | Exchange Policy

If you wish to return or exchange your gown, a return request must be submitted within 7 business days of delivery. When the return is approved, the confirmation email must be printed, filled out, and returned with the item(s). Items sent without the form will be sent back to the clientWe must receive the return tracking number within 2 business days. The return tracking information can be placed in the tracking button at the bottom of your return approval email.

To be eligible for an exchange or return, the item must not be included in the ineligible item list below - must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with no stains or alterations. In addition, be mindful of makeup, deodorant, pet hair, and strong smells (smoke, perfume, etc.) as these can make your item ineligible for return. IF the item is received and is not-accepted for any of the above reasons, Sew Trendy will return the item back to you at no cost. If the item is received and accepted, Sew Trendy will work with you to continue processing your refund via the payment method chosen, or exchange for new items per your request. You will receive an email with the decision and next steps if any.

Ineligible items: Sew Trendy Glow Bodysuits, Any gowns from the couture collection, damaged items sold at a discount, and XXL+ size gowns, custom selections (i.e. cut to length, mixed sizes, mixed colors, custom colors, anything outside of our normal selections).

RETURNS | If you wish to return your item and be refunded back via the original payment method, a 30% restocking fee will be deducted from the item total, this includes Ready to Ship items as well. The remaining balance will be sent back via the same method of payment used when ordering after the item has been received, inspected, and accepted. After the item has been accepted, the refund will be sent within 3 business days. We are not responsible for delays made by the bank in depositing your funds.

If you wish to return the item for in store credit NO Restocking fee will be assessed and you can use the credit at any time in the proceeding 12 months from issue date. A gift card will be issued via email within 3 business days of the item being received, inspected, and accepted.

The client is responsible for shipping the item back to our warehouse. Shipping and Rush services are non-refundable. If you choose to exchange, no restocking fee will be assessed.

EXCHANGES | After submitting a request, and receiving confirmation from Sew Trendy that the exchange is approved, the client is responsible for the shipping cost to return the gown to our warehouse.

We allow one exchange per order with no additional processing fees and a 7 business day processing time. We will cover the shipping cost back to the client on the first exchange as a courtesy.  Additional exchanges are subject to our standard processing time of 3 weeks unless the rush processing fee is purchased.

Return shipping costs will be invoiced for additional exchanges after the initial exchange based on the weight and size of the items (sent priority mail).  If you need faster shipping/processing, please let us know in advance (additional fees may apply).

The client may exchange their product for any items in our store, if the total cost is less than the original amount, the remaining balance will be provided via gift card to the client's email within 3 business days. If the exchange product is more expensive, Sew Trendy staff will send an invoice to collect the remaining balance. The invoice must be paid in order for us to continue processing the item.

QUALITY ISSUES |  If you receive an item and there is an issue with quality (I.e. spots in the fabric or other physical damage) missed in our quality inspection or you received the incorrect item, you must put in a return request within 24 hours of receiving your order for it to be exchanged or returned.  An email must be sent with photos of the damage when the return request is sent with the order # in the subject line to sewtrendycustomerservice@gmail.com - Otherwise we can not prove the damage was done prior or during shipment. Please look over your items immediately!  If there is a problem with the gown due to our mistake, we are happy to cover the shipping cost back to our warehouse and work with you to resolve the problem. 

LATE PACKAGES | If your package does not arrive on time DUE TO OUR ERROR (i.e. it shipped late, or incorrect shipping method), Sew Trendy will refund your purchase after the items are sent back, received in by our warehouse, and inspected. A request must be submitted via the return/exchanges link within 7 business days of delivery. If the item is lost by USPS (NO DELIVERED STATUS) and is not delivered after 7 days of opening a case with USPS, we will refund the purchase and continue the investigation. If the package is showing delivered and the address was correct, and you do not have your item, it is the responsibility of the buyer to contact USPS to file a claim as it is then considered a stolen package. Please keep in mind that once the packages are dropped at the post office, they are out of our hands, please plan ahead! 

 

Alteration Program

This Program is Only Applicable to Sew Trendy™ Gowns 

SHIPPING | The initial shipping to our office is not covered in the cost of the alteration program. Please send the gown to us within 7 business days of the purchase receipt. Return shipping once the gown is complete IS covered in the cost of the program, and will be returned to you via priority mail (US) or first class mail (Canada). Please review our shipping policies above. If you desire expedited shipping, please contact our office. Keep in mind expedited shipping will not effect the processing time. 

PROCESSING TIME | The gown will be complete within 7 business days from the date it was delivered. This does not include holidays or warehouse closures. 

QUALITY CONTROL | When the gown is received we will have an initial inspection for any marks or damage to the fabric prior to any labor. Any damage will be noted on the alteration sheet that will be returned to you with the gown. 

MEASUREMENTS | We will get the measurements as close as possible to your request. Please note that we deal in stretch fabrics and some movement is expected. Please allow 1" of leeway. For the most accurate measurement, have a family member measure you armpit to floor.

      Please note, we can not "ADD" length to any gown

Returns or Exchanges are NOT eligible with this program, as it is a service provided.

To use the photographer discount, you MUST add your website to the additional notes section of your cart or the order will be cancelled and a new order without the discount would need to be placed.
